- We have been in the business of chairs long before many of you even sat on one. During a time, when people in India sat cross-legged, a time when it was a luxury to ‘take a seat’- A time way before our country gained its independence. That is when our founder Kakubhai Pitroda started a unit to manufacture parts related to chairs such as wheels, arms and other such mechanisms. And in no time, we became the singular source for quality hardware all over India. Today we have made a name for ourselves. A name that most people in the industry instantly associate with “first time in India”. 1940 chair with tilting mechanism - 1948 salon chairs - 1955 metal frame revolving chairs - 1967 fully adjustable typist chair - 1972 auto height adjustment - 1985 German Wilkhahn chair (that was made in India with their moulds and technical colaboration) - 1990 ladies parlour chair…... and the list goes on. And today, we are Burosys. A new venture that is more than just chairs. We are about everything related to office furniture. Executive tables, modular partitions, storages, conference-canteen-training room tables, sofas, carpets – you name, we have it.
